    The Ministry of Agriculture has formed a team to follow up on the executive procedures and strategic tasks in its departments and find the necessary solutions for them.
    The administrative undersecretary of the ministry, Dr. Mahdi Sahar Al-Jubouri, said in an interview with "Al-Sabah", followed by "Al-Eqtisad News", that the ministry has formed a team to follow up on the executive procedures and strategic tasks within the government program, which the ministry is currently carrying out in a number of its departments and find the necessary solutions to raise their achievement rates.
    He added that the projects include implementing the electronic card project for farmers, farmers and investors after it was suspended in the Ministry of Planning due to its approval of special instructions for the purpose of finding partnerships with the private sector, revealing the agreement with the World Food Program to implement it in the holy Karbala Governorate, then launching to the governorates of Babylon and Wasit as a second phase.
    Al-Jubouri added that the program launched the final model of the card, which includes a real database and information on farmers' agricultural activities, pointing out that the program contributes to reducing routine procedures and reducing the number of reviews that exhaust farmers, in addition to the beneficiaries obtaining loans and agricultural supplies.
    In the same context, he explained that among other measures is stopping the import and export portals of the agricultural calendar due to the provision of financial allocations, and thus finding positive solutions to work on them and transfer them electronically, stressing the existence of partnerships between the ministry and the public and private sectors for sustainable development in the agricultural sector by providing fertilizers, pesticides and agricultural mechanization represented by modern irrigation systems, harvesters, in addition to agricultural tractors and fertilized seeders.
    Al-Jubouri revealed the agricultural sector's need for extensive investment operations by developing maps that show promising areas for investment in the country and studying the elements of strength and weakness in order to create elements of strength and influence to attract national and foreign capital in light of the competition he described as not easy that all countries of the Middle East region are going through to attract investments to them in the midst of the global financial crisis.
