    The director of Babylon environment, Abbas Khudair Abbas, in an interview to the (long-Presse), said that "the protection and improvement of the environment council in the province of Babylon, held its regular meeting today, chaired by the first deputy governor of Babylon, Sam Aslan al-Jubouri, the presence of the head of the environment committee of the provincial council, Ibrahim Bt, general manager of protecting and improving the environment in the Middle Euphrates region, messenger owner, and a set of relevant departments managers, and discussed several topics and took recommendations about them ", pointing out that of those" recommendations directing the municipality of Hilla complete recognizes modern massacre in the city, which opened two years ago and operated to reduce the phenomenon of indiscriminate slaughter, and finally get rid of the old massacres non-conforming environmental and health standards. "
    Abbas added, "The Board recommended that the municipal and water resources departments taking a full role to remove the excesses on the banks of the Shatt al-Hilla of Bakrajat washing and greasing cars newly erected outside environmental determinants," noting that "the Council also recommended a massive campaign to clean up the industrial district in a rare area in the south Hilla, and to accelerate the opening of artisans neighborhood, (4 km south of the city), to be a substitute for it. "
    It is noteworthy that protect and improve the environment in Babylon Council, hold periodic meetings to discuss the environmental situation in the province, and take the necessary decisions on environmental problems.
