Baghdad vows owners of private generators offenders to "arrest"

     Baghdad / term

Declared governor of Baghdad , Ali al -Tamimi, on Saturday, opening new windows to receive complaints from citizens about thework of private generators, while threatened violators with sanctions up to the arrest.
Tamimi said in a statement received "long", acopy of it, "During an urgent meeting of theEnergy Committee in the the provincial council and managers of distribution centers in the Ministry of Electricity and leaders of thesecurity and administrative units and cadres developed in the province to discuss the work of electric power generators operating hours and cutting the price Amp and to hold violators of the generator owners mechanism, in addition to discussing the necessary quota of fuel for generators during the next two months. "
the statement added that the "preservation is determined to provide what is best for the citizens in terms ofimproving the electric energy in order to reach what the province seeks through coordination between theprovincial council and the directorates of electricity and Alqaimmqamyat for the purpose of setting cut programmer to see the actual operating hours of the agenda, as well as unannounced visits to the owners ofgenerators in all areas . " . The
statement stressed " the need for the cooperation of citizens and reporting stations which switches off theelectricity end of each month in order to be the application of the legal proceedings against them as well as generators offenders owners , " pointing to "activate the role of the committees formed under thechairmanship of the administrative units of directors and the membership of the municipal council for the area and the police station and take legal action and moving criminal complaint against violators of operators generators , without exception , that link into custody and other legal measures to force them to comply withregulations and instructions province. " It is
noteworthy that the Ministry of Electricity justified in, April 24, 2016, declining hours of processing to the loss of 6,500 megawatts because of delayed maintenance of generating units and scarcity of work fuel and lack ofbudget disbursement, saying it would coordinate with the Council of Ministers to launch allocations to address "bottlenecks" current.
detection and Electricity Minister Alaa Disher, on Thursday (12 May 2016), for the loss of the energy system and the amount of two thousand megawatts due to the financial crisis, and disclosed that his ministry 's plan focuses on coordination with the oil bodies to equip fuel stations, and with the governor of Basra pointed out that the financial crisis has prompted the administration of the province to rely on an emergency plan to equip energy, he stressed that citizens processing power would be "acceptable" this summer. The new Minister ofElectricity Ala'a Disher during a joint news conference with the governor of Basra held in the Office of theprovince and attended (range Press), he said that " the financial crisis has negatively affected the production of electric power in Iraq, where the ministry produced at the height of summer , 16 thousand megawatts, but it I lost about two thousand megawatts. "
the Iraq suffers a shortage of electric power since the beginning of the year 1990, but the past three years have seen an improvement in the provision of electric power after the opening of a number of power stations which (Zubaydiah in Wasit and good deeds in Karbala and Alhaidariya in Najaf and the station gas in Maysan and two stations in Diwaniya station al - Sadr in Baghdad, and stations Shatt al - Arab and Rumaila in Basra and the station gas in Kirkuk), where operating hours continue to about 20 private hour with low temperatures, while shrinking operating hours with high temperatures and increased loads on the power plants during peak times .
in spite of the attainment of energy production in Iraq , about 12 thousand megawatts, but it is still below thelevel of ambition and the need which amounts to more than 20 thousand MW to all parts of Iraq, which needs huge investments to reach self - sufficiency.
