Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The White bloc emphasized the necessity of reforming the relations between the legislative and executive authorities.
The parliament faces crisis with the government concerning several issues led to hindering a number of law drafts.
The spokesman of the White bloc, Kadhim al-Shimmari, stated to IraqiNews.com “The negative relations between the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, and the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, affected the legislative role of the parliament where each one of them is trying to prove his capacities for the other.”
“It is time to consolidate the relations between Maliki and Nijaifi especially after the escalated protests in the northern and western parts of Iraq,” he added, noting that “The only side affected by the disputes between them is the citizen.”
Earlier, Nijaifi attacked Maliki accusing him of neglecting the constitution due to his rejection for attending the parliament session to discuss the security deterioration.
