MP for the National Coalition Kadhim al-Shammari said, today, that Osama Najafi and united bloc is the only objector that holds the coalition candidate as defense minister and there are no opposition from the other parties.
Shammari In an interview with "direction Press" stressed that the bloc united aspire to serve as defense minister one of their candidates, but it has exhausted points after the return of the vice president of the office and take the Ministry of Planning, noting that the Union of Forces announced his support for the candidate of the National Coalition to take the Ministry of Defence.
The Al-Shammari said he was introduced seven candidates on the national list all of them have the efficiency and acceptability for the position of Secretary of Defense and the choice is up.
The House of Representatives voted on Thursday 08/25/2016 to withdraw confidence from the Defense Minister Khaled al-Obeidi, a majority of members.
According to a parliamentary source, that 142 deputies voted to withdraw confidence from the Iraqi Defense Minister Khaled al-Obeidi, as 102 MPs voted against impeachment, while 18 deputies abstained from voting.
The Council of Representatives, on Thursday, the 14th of its usual current legislative term under the chairmanship of Salim al-Jubouri, 234 deputies attending.
