    Twilight News / announced the Information Office of the Courts of Basra, on Monday, that the criminal courts in the province began the Amnesty Law No. 27 of 2016, indicating the number of covered reached in 1251 accused, including 538 defendants on trial.
    The office said in a statement responded to the Twilight News, said that "the criminal courts to resume the presidency of the Federal Court of Basra included in 1251, accusing Amnesty Law No. 27 of 2016".
    And that "the court has completed a private Palmhmolin previous amnesty law database for the purpose of exclusion from the new law, which has direct its application."
    The statement added that "among the defendants covered 107 events, in addition to the 538 defendants on trial," adding that "the rest of the courts in Basra continues to apply the law and the completion of proceedings covered by it."
    It was the voice of the House of Representatives voted last August on the amnesty law after postponed several times as a result of disputes over its provisions, particularly the item on Palmhmolin law.
