The chairman of the Investment Commission of Baghdad, Shaker al-Zamili, Monday, halted 150,000 investment project, including 130,000 residential project due to delays in regulatory approvals, noting that the investment projects and provided about 20,000 jobs over the past years.
Zamili said, "The total investment licenses granted in Baghdad 340 vacation spread over different pieces," noting that "has been granted 70 vacation for the residential sector, 100 vacation industrial, educational and hospitality sector."
As he emphasized that "approximately 150,000 investment license suspended, including 130,000 residential project due to delays in regulatory approvals by the Municipality of Baghdad and the provincial council and red tape."
Zamili and pointed out that "26,000 residential project under way, notably the hands, flowers and brothers complex," pointing out that "investment projects and provided about 30,000 job directly and indirectly increases if the competent authorities approve the stalled projects."
