Director General of the Sewage Directorate of the ministry, Fadel Mohammed Kazem, said in a statement the "morning" that the financial crisis of the country, affected directly in his ministry through the lack of financial allocations, making the ministry is seeking to maximize self - revenue through the collection for services provided to citizens, returned the money realized from the collection of some provinces, below the required level.
He added that his ministry is currently preparing the draft privatization studies, to go to him in the coming years, containing the provision of pure water services to citizens, and maintenance of sewage plants, and then the sewage is received and processed, taking advantage of them in several areas such as the production of electric power.
Kazim said that the privatization project , which will be implemented by investment companies, would facilitate the provision of services to citizens the best image, while ensuring fulfillment of collection amounts for services rendered.
Regarding service projects stalled due to lack of allocations, revealed that those of sewage and systems of sewage systems, amounted to 60 projects, distributed among the provinces, noting that the Minister of reconstruction efforts that led to the approval of the Council of Ministers to resume work for 24 projects of which has achieved advanced completion rates before the stoppage.
He expressed the general manager of sewage hoped to resume work for 12 projects this year , as will delay the rest until next year, provided the launch of full financial allocations, especially it 's important projects, noting that his ministry major attaches importance to such projects as contributing to the provision of services to citizens and private water treatment systems Sewage.
And on the provision of services to citizens, he said his ministry continued to provide such services, and the maintenance and sewage systems , drainage and treatment continuously conducted follow - up directly from the advanced business owners directorate, confirming his ministry 's efforts to expand the country 's unserved areas.
With regard to the liberated areas of terrorists "Daesh", disclosed Kadhim said his ministry take over those areas , great attention, as it strives to harness all efforts and cadres to restore stability to it, revealing at the same time , the existence of more than 37 projects in Acer Mosul need maintenance and rehabilitation, the ministry has sent a full vision of those projects to the reconstruction of areas affected by the Fund.
