    [size=45]The Minister of Construction, Housing, Municipalities and Public Works, Mr. Bankin Rekani, inaugurated a number of service projects in Wasit and laid the foundation stone for other projects, including the housing sector. He also agreed to include vital projects in the governorate within the 2024 plan, including the roads, bridges, and sewer sectors.[/size]
    [size=45]A source in the governorate administration stated, “The first stop of the minister’s visit was to the Essaouira district, where he opened the trial operation phase of the networks, payment stations, and treatment units for the Essaouira district sewerage project, which is one of the largest service projects in the district and the shops, under the responsibility of the Chinese company CGGC, at a cost of 147 billion dinars, and the shops in 2012 in the period 900 days, but it was delayed a lot due to financial and other circumstances.” At the level of sewage projects also, the Al-Hay Al-Kabir district sewage project was opened and implemented by the same Chinese company at a cost of 111 billion Iraqi dinars, in addition to the implementation of heavy water and rainwater networks with a length of 237 kilometers, along with payment stations and the central processing unit. He also reviewed in the field the rates of completion. An infrastructure development project in the district, which is being implemented within the plans and projects of the local government.[/size]
    [size=45]Within the sewage sector, which is considered the most important in the chain of infrastructure services, it was approved to include eight new projects for treatment units in the districts and districts of Al-Zubaidiyah, Al-Shahimiya, Al-Dabouni, Wasit district, Al-Bashaer, Zurbatiyah, Al-Hafriya, in addition to the Badra district. With regard to water projects, the Great Kut Water Project was opened, with a capacity of 10,000 cubic meters per hour, to cover the entire center of Kut city, after it had been idle for more than 15 years despite successive governments. The project supplies the areas of the left side of the city with drinking water. In order to avoid the scarcity of drinking water in some districts and districts, the Minister agreed to include three large drinking water complexes in the districts of Essaouira and Al-Hay, in addition to the district of Al-Bashaer, while work was followed up and field visits were conducted on the large Zubaidiyah district water project, with the aim of completing it completely and opening it in the coming days.[/size]
    [size=45]Within the housing sector, the foundation stone was laid for the construction of the Al-Ridwan Residential Investment Complex in Al-Aziziya District, with 131 typical housing units, in addition to laying the foundation stone for the project to construct Al-Burhan Residential Investment Complex in the city of Kut, with 1,144 housing units, both of which are projects referred by the Wasit Investment Authority. Opening of the Al-Dabouni residential investment complex with 255 housing units. With regard to the roads and bridges sector, the Minister of Construction, Housing, Works and Public Municipalities, Mr. Benkin Rekani, agreed to include the second phase of the Kut Baghdad Road expansion and rehabilitation project, starting from the Zubaidiyah intersection (kilometre 60) and reaching the Laj control, with a length of 129 kilometers, after the first phase of the road expansion and rehabilitation witnessed it. Achieving advanced completion rates with a length of 120 kilometers for the two-way and return corridors at a cost of 97 billion and an implementation period of 1090 days, which is being implemented by the Hammurabi Company, one of the ministry’s companies.[/size]
    [size=45]The project to construct the second corridor of the Souira-Ajbla road, with a length of 30 kilometers, and the official announcement of the construction of a new bridge on the Tigris River in the Numaniyah district, adjacent to the current bridge, were also included.[/size]
