BAGHDAD (Reuters) -
Construction Minister Jackie Rikani stressed on Tuesday the importance of focusing on work to prepare the next year's plan (2020), in addition to presenting visions based on basic principles, the most important of which is to choose the appropriate type of service,
A statement by the Ministry of Construction (Moazin News), a copy of it, that "the minister confirmed during the presiding the fourth session of the representative opinion in the presence of agents and directors-general of the Ministry and the formations on the obvious development in advancing the progress of work in the Ministry's projects in general."
He stressed the need to continue the same momentum and complete the projects on time and according to the required technical specifications, warning those who are trying to block the progress of projects on the pretext of irresponsibility and failure to take the appropriate decision and the promotion of mail, which adversely affects the progress of work in projects and the slowdown in them.
"The importance and role of the Directorate of Urban Planning in terms of the tasks performed and the duties assigned to it, and the need to remove them from the many side interventions, which in turn lead to the failure to apply professional standards correctly."
The minister called on the Housing Department to "change its basic functions from supervising the construction of the housing complexes to the housing policy tasks of the country as well as the search for sources of funding for the proposed projects."
