Jubouri: Parliament can reject the government's date for the elections

Speaker of the House of Representatives Salim al-Jubouri, that the parliament can reject the date of the government to hold elections and set another date according to the law and the parliament has this authority.
Jubouri said in a televised statement that "will be voting next Saturday on the date of elections, which was determined by the government is ratified by parliament or not ratified."
He explained that "the dispute is in the selection of one of the two dates for the elections, either determined by the government on 12/5/2018 or the postponement of six months, on December 1, 2018."
"After the end, there are unstable areas in which there are those who carry arms and may force people to use or use them to achieve their electoral interests and in this way it will be complicated."
"The initial perceptions are that the participation rate will be weak in the areas affected and if elections are rigged with inaccuracies because voters can use the cards of people who are displaced or may impose a certain will on them.
