Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasimi said on Saturday that any interference in Iran's internal affairs by any party would be met with a firm response, adding France was not excluded.
"The visit of the French foreign minister to Iran is on the agenda and preparations are under way," Qassimi told a news conference. "There have been no discussions with Paris about Iran's missile program, and the allegations are an absolute lie."

"We have repeatedly stressed that we will not allow anyone to interfere in Iran's defense issues," Qassimi said. "The American and sometimes the European screams about Iran's influence and Iranian missiles are to pressure them to retreat after they were concerned about Tehran's progress. Only a pretext for achieving an international consensus against us.

He added that many countries are now convinced that America can not be trusted with regard to its international and bilateral commitments, stressing that if America wants to continue to undermine the nuclear agreement, it must bear the burden of it.
He described Iran's influence in the region as "a constructive and positive influence even for America and Europe" as it helped to eliminate terrorism and prevent terrorists from reaching Europe and America.
According to Qasimi, America's main problem is not with the nuclear agreement but with Iran's position in the region, especially after the agreement.

Kasimi said in response to European sources that Tehran had agreed to negotiations with the European Union on its ballistic missile program.

The foreign ministers of Germany, France and Britain and EU foreign policy coordinator Federica Mugherini agreed with Tehran on the start of "intensive and serious talks on Iran's missile program and its interference in the affairs of the countries of the region," the Financial Times reported. C
