The International Islamic Charitable Organization (IICO) announced Monday that it will donate $ 10 million to the conference of non-governmental organizations to support the humanitarian situation in Iraq.
"The International Islamic Charitable Organization has announced that it will provide 10 million dollars during the conference of non-governmental organizations to support the humanitarian situation in Iraq, which will be held today in Kuwait," the official KUNA news agency said in an urgent news release.
The Kuwait conference of donors for the reconstruction of Iraq began Monday with the participation of hundreds of countries and international and regional organizations, which will continue until Wednesday.
In parallel, a conference of non-governmental organizations to support the humanitarian situation in Iraq will be held on Monday, with the participation of the President of the Islamic Charitable Organization Abdullah Al-Ma'touq, the Chairman of the Advisor to the Prime Minister of Iraq, Abdul Karim Al-Faisal and the Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations Partnership for the Middle East and Central Asia , Rashid Khalikov.
