The Minister of Transport, Captain Kazem Fangan Al-Hammami, said after signing official records that include the agreement on aviation and completion of the infrastructure of the only land port between Iraq and Saudi Arabia, it is time for our brothers in the Arab countries to open many projects and investment inside Iraq, noting that there are no obstacles to the completion of any strategic projects or Service, after they all became today compatible, available and easy to implement on the ground.
Al-Hamami added that the port of Umm Qasr will be open to ships coming from Saudi ports after signing an agreement to open the closed ports between the two countries.
Al-Hamami pointed out that the Saudi side welcomed the proposal of the Iraqi delegation to establish a railway after a detailed study of this vital and important project between the two sides.
