The electricity export to Iraq through the province of Khuzestan in southwestern Iran may be canceled when faced with a deficit in securing the province, the executive director of Khuzestan Electricity Company said.

"In light of the export of electricity to Iraq, if the volume of electricity supply reaches a level that affects the insurance efficiency of Khuzestan province, the export operation will be canceled," Mahmoud Dasht Bizarrak told Fars news agency.

Desht Bizerk called for the province to be given a holiday on the fourth day, if the temperature was 49 degrees Celsius for three days in a row, as well as changing working hours in the departments to rationalize consumption.

The province of Khuzestan of Iran from the warm provinces, which exceed the temperature of 50 degrees Celsius in the summer sometimes requires strong electrical coverage.
