    Hussein Faleh:
The political advisor to the Prime Minister, Fadi Al-Shammari, reassured the employees that their salaries will not be affected, stressing that the government is working to provide financial liquidity, while indicating that there are extensive discussions to address the financial deficit. He said in an interview: There are extensive discussions between the ministerial team and the relevant ministries to address the financial deficit and secure employees' salaries, stressing that there is no encroachment on salaries and the government is working to provide financial liquidity for this. He added: Economic treatments are not only through imposing taxes. Pointing out that the government is keen on the interest of the citizen when making any decision that affects the interests of the people. He explained: Work is taking place around the clock in the capital, Baghdad, and the rest of the governorates to complete major service projects. He pointed out: There are those who are working to obstruct the wheel of reconstruction and trying to disrupt the achieved accomplishments. He pointed out: The Prime Minister divides his daily program into following up on the files of health, electricity, education and infrastructure projects, and stands directly on the obstruction that occurs in the projects. The Finance Committee of the House of Representatives had previously confirmed that there are sufficient resources to cover any possible shortage regarding salaries. Committee member Jamal Koujar said that “financial matters are under control, and the government is fully committed to securing employees’ salaries on time without any delay.” He pointed out that “the statements of the Minister of Finance and the Governor of the Central Bank confirm that salaries are fully secured for this year, and that there is no fear from this side.” Koujar added that “salaries have not been delayed at all so far, as they are disbursed regularly before the end of each month, which indicates the government’s ability to manage financial affairs well.” Regarding rumors that talk about the possibility of a new epidemic that may affect the national economy, Koujar reassured employees that “Iraq is ready to face any future challenges.” He said: Even if there is a new epidemic as It is rumored that there will be no problem regarding salaries, because Iraq's bank reserves are excellent, and we have sufficient resources to cover any possible shortage." He stressed that "even in the event of any financial crisis, the government will do its utmost to secure salaries by resorting to loans or other means." Earlier, the Parliamentary Finance Committee revealed that employees' salaries would be secured during the current year. Committee member Hussein Mounes said in a press statement: "The delay in the salaries of employees of some ministries is nothing more than an administrative procedure related to the work of the Ministry of Finance." He added that "state employees' salaries are secured during this year and there is no fear of that," noting that "delaying them for days from the specified date is only an administrative procedure." The 2024 budget revenues are estimated at 144 trillion and 336 billion dinars, while expenditures amount to 210 trillion and 936 billion dinars, while the deficit is 63 trillion and 599 billion dinars.[/size]
