Russia: $19 billion is the size of our investments in the energy sector in Iraq

{Economic: Al Furat News} Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov participated today, Wednesday, in an exhibition dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Russian-Iraqi diplomatic relations.
Lavrov said, in statements he made during the exhibition, that the total investments of Russian oil companies in the energy sector in Iraq exceed $19 billion, and major projects are being implemented with the participation of Russian oil companies.
"The oil and gas industry has traditionally been the central element of our practical cooperation," with the Iraqi side, Lavrov said.
Lavrov added: “A number of major projects are being successfully implemented with the participation of leading Russian oil companies, and the total volume of Russian investments in the Iraqi energy sector exceeds $19 billion.”
The Russian Minister explained that Lukoil, Gazprom Neft and Rosneft companies represent the main share of these investments.
