    (Reuters) - US President Donald Trump said he would raise the issue of Russia's alleged intervention in the US election when meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Helsinki next month.
    Speaking to reporters on the presidential plane on his way to New Jersey on Friday, Trump said he would also discuss conflicts in Ukraine, Syria and other international issues with Putin at the July 16 summit. "I will talk to him about everything," he said. 
    "We will talk about Ukraine and talk about Syria. We will talk about the elections. We do not want anyone to tamper with the elections," he said. 
    Russia has denied an assessment by US intelligence agencies that Moscow sought to intervene in the 2016 US election to boost Trump's chances of becoming president. 
    After briefly meeting with Putin in Vietnam in November 2017, Trump was criticized in the United States after he said he believed Putin when he denied Russian intervention.

    The meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump will be held July 16 in Finnish Helsinki.

    The leaders of the two countries intend to discuss prospects for developing relations between Russia and the United States, as well as discuss the current issues on the international agenda.
