Russian President Vladimir Putin has received a message from his US counterpart Donald Trump through diplomatic channels, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"President Putin has received a message through diplomatic channels from the American president," Piskov told reporters on Wednesday.
"This letter has not yet been reviewed," he said.
"We expect this message to reach the Russian presidential administration soon."
