Disputes between Trump and Congress over government spending

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The US Senate on Wednesday approved a $ 850 billion bill on spending on defense, health and work programs, amid objections from the White House.
It is expected that the Council will vote in the coming days on this allotment bill, which includes about $ 675 billion to the Ministry of Defense and $ 182 billion for a range of internal programs of the ministries of labor, health, human services, education and their agencies.
Reuters quoted congressional sources as saying the Senate had collected the bills in the hope that President Donald Trump would not veto the domestic spending legislation.
Earlier, Trump threatened to close the government if Congress, controlled by his Republicans, did not stick to his spending priorities, especially his desire to spend billions on the construction of the barrier along the border with Mexico.
The White House announced Wednesday its position on the spending bill, but did not threaten to use its right to reject the bill, noting that the project does not include his proposals to reduce spending in the areas of education and education research and health care.
The US administration also opposes cutting defense spending, including $ 532 million in Afghanistan, and $ 406 million to fund the training of US forces in Iraq and Syria to fight the Da'ash organization.
