    The deputy head of the Iranian Ports and Navigation Corporation, Hadi Haq Shinas, said that Qatar has applied for the activation of shipping lines with Iran.
    In a press statement on Saturday, Haq Shinas said the Qatari initiative provided for the activation of navigation between the ports of Bushehr in southern Iran and Qatar's Hamad port.
    He explained that Qatar had been before the Saudi-Saudi embargo to secure their goods from these two countries, but now asked to increase shipping traffic via sea lines with Iran to promote trade with them.
    The Iranian official confirmed that due to the UAE and Saudi embargo, the Qatari side was informed of the possibility of taking advantage of the port of Bushehr to carry out the export and import of the goods. In fact, part of these operations were carried out.
    The Assistant of the President of the Organization of Ports and Maritime Navigation of Iran that the goods can be transferred from Turkey and other neighboring countries to the ports of Qatar using the appropriate navigation lines from Bushehr port in Iran.
    Qatar has been living since June 5, 2017 under its boycott by Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt, which cut off diplomatic relations with the Qatari authorities and stopped maritime, land and air traffic with the emirate, leading to a political crisis between the countries mentioned in addition to a media war.
    They have accused the Qatari authorities of supporting terrorism, but Qatar has strongly denied the charges.
