[rtl]BAGHDAD - The deputy of the wisdom movement, Ali al-Badiri, on Saturday, the truth of the information circulated about the nomination of Sunni and Kurdish personalities to serve as deputy prime ministers in the new government.[/rtl]

[rtl]Al-Badairi said in a press statement that "the nomination of two personalities, one of them Kurdish and the other Sunni, to fill the posts of Deputy Prime Minister, is incorrect and there is no such direction in the corridors of political blocs."[/rtl]

[rtl]He said that "all the political blocs are busy now on the choice of the President and then the head of the new government and there is no talk about the nomination of personalities of the ministries or vice-prime minister."[/rtl]

[rtl]It is noteworthy that some observers of the political affairs circulated news of the nomination of Sunni and Kurdish personalities to serve as deputy prime ministers.[/rtl]

[rtl]The new House of Representatives was elected on September 16, 2018 as Mohamed Halboussi as its president. Hassan Karim was elected to the post of first deputy and Bashir Haddad was elected to the post of second deputy.[/rtl]

[rtl]The parliamentary elections were held on May 12, 2018 in Baghdad and the provinces amid tight security. The Electoral Commission announced hours later that the participation rate was 44% with the participation of more than 10 million out of the 24 million eligible to participate in the elections.[/rtl]

[rtl]The results came out of the alliance of Sowron, supported by Muqtada al-Sadr first at the level of the provinces followed by the Fatah Alliance led by Hadi al-Amiri, and then the victory coalition led by Prime Minister Haider Abadi.[/rtl]

[rtl]The days after the election witnessed a wide debate among the political circles that prompted the House of Representatives to hold a session and vote on the amendment of the election law, including the re-counting and manual counting of the results.[/rtl]

[rtl]The Federal Supreme Court voted later to respond to the appeals filed on the Third Amendment Law of the House of Representatives Elections Law, while ruling that the cancellation of the elections abroad and the special vote were unconstitutional.[/rtl]

[rtl]On August 19, 2018, the Federal Supreme Court announced its ratification of the results of the parliamentary elections and the winning candidates, confirming that the decision of ratification was issued by agreement of opinion.[/rtl]
