Trump: High-level talks were held with the Saudis on Khashoggi's case

US President Donald Trump said he had held talks with the Saudi leadership to discuss the disappearance of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, saying he wanted to meet his fiancée Khadija at the White House.
Trump said in a press statement on Wednesday that he had recently held "talks with the Saudis at the highest level" on Khashoggi's disappearance, adding that this was "very bad."
The US president said he wanted to invite the fiancée of the disappeared journalist, Khadija, to the White House to talk to her about it.
Trump said his administration was "working closely with Turkey" on Khashoggi's case and stressed: "I think we will see the truth."
He stressed that he wanted to "get to the truth", saying: "People saw that Khashoggi entered (the Saudi consulate in Istanbul) did not come out."
The Saudi journalist disappeared after entering the headquarters of his consulate in Istanbul, Turkey on October 2 and lost contact with him after that.
