[ltr]"The plenary session of the talks will begin at 10 am tomorrow, under the inter-Korean agreement," ministry spokesman Paek Tae-hyun told a regular news conference on Tuesday.[/ltr]
[ltr]He said the upcoming talks would focus on North Korea's participation in the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Pyongyang.[/ltr]
[ltr]The two sides are expected to discuss issues of mutual interest to improve inter-Korean relations and the South Korean proposal on July 17 last year, the spokesman said.[/ltr]
[ltr]In July last year, the South Korean government proposed North Korea to hold military talks to stop all aggressive actions on the military line and hold a Red Cross meeting to discuss the reunification of separated families, but North Korea has yet to respond to the South's proposal.[/ltr]
[ltr]Asked if the talks would address the North Korean nuclear issue, spokesman Paek said he believed it was inappropriate to predict the status and agenda of the talks.[/ltr]
