Ismail said in a press statement that "the legal committee is going to freeze the work of the provincial councils throughout the country, especially after the events in Basra, as the problems currently underway in the province stands behind the provincial council."
He added that "there is a conflict within the provincial council, on projects, funds and personal interests, where there are projects worth 700 billion Iraqi dinars are being fought within the provincial council."
He explained that "what raised the differences within the provincial council is the assignment of projects directly by the governor after the authorization of the Prime Minister this matter, where the Council intervened demanding the entry of projects to the provincial council," noting that "Basra is moving towards the unknown, and may reach a stage can not control And therefore the prime minister will be unable to solve the problem. "
