Reuters) - Trade Minister Mohammad Hashim al-Ani on Wednesday held a meeting with a delegation from the Kurdistan region to discuss the unification of procedures for issuance of import and export licenses between the region and the center.
Al-Ani said at the beginning of the meeting that "the coordination between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government has developed a lot and there is a mutual understanding to resolve all outstanding issues to reach a common understanding in all fields, especially that the joint meeting of the Economic Committee with the provincial government held in Erbil came out with positive results, Outstanding issues ".
He added that "the meeting held in Baghdad comes to complement what has been achieved in Erbil, which is purely technical and the purpose of standardizing the procedures and overcome the simple problems, which we agreed not to stand then and start cooperation in large issues and address the points raised by the government of the region."
