Al-Fath reveals details of Iraq's initiative for US-Iranian crisis:

The Al-Fateh alliance led by Hadi al-Amiri on Thursday revealed that the first Iraqi political delegation headed to Tehran to present the Iraqi mediation initiative to calm the situation between Iran and America.
Tensions between the United States and Iran escalated after Washington sent additional troops to the Middle East to counter what it said were "clear signs" of a threat to its troops from Iran. Trump also ordered the non-essential US diplomatic staff to leave Iraq because of threats from Iraqi armed groups backed by Tehran.
"Iraq is obliged to play the role of mediator between Iran and America, because the ball in the stadium the Iraqi people and Iraq, whatever it is or even if he can not mediate, is obliged to call on other countries to mediate," MP Karim al-Aliawi told Asharq Al-Awsat.
