5 years imprisonment for the main financier of the Lebanese Hezbollah in America
A Lebanese businessman, a key Lebanese Hezbollah financier, has been sentenced to prison terms, the Justice Department said Friday.
According to the Justice Ministry, Lebanese businessman Qassem Tajeddine, Hezbollah's "important financier", was sentenced to five years in prison and a $ 50 million fine.
"The verdict and the $ 50 million fine in this case are just the latest examples of the Justice Ministry's continuing efforts to disrupt and dismantle Hezbollah and its support networks," said Assistant Prosecutor Brian Benzkovski.
Tajuddin Tajuddin was considered an "important financial financier" of a "terrorist" organization by the US authorities because of his support for the Lebanese Hezbollah, which is classified by the United States as a terrorist organization.
