Al-Moussawi said {to Al-Furat News} that: “Changing the price of improved gasoline to 850 dinars and super to 1,250 dinars per liter are very normal prices compared to neighboring countries and international countries.”
She added, "This decision does not carry any negative economic implications. On the contrary, the person who fills this improved or super fuel is from the affluent or even middle class, and it also does not add a higher cost to filling than before."
Al-Moussawi added, "This decision will ultimately lead to Iraq dispensing with importing oil derivatives and saving the state treasury the equivalent of 3 billion dollars annually."
