Council of Ministers announce decisions sixteen regular session for 2014

Cabinet held its regular sixteen in Baghdad today (Tuesday, April 22, 2014) under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, issued by the Council and the following decisions:

1- authorize the Minister of Agriculture authority to extend contracts peasant tenants of agricultural land expired until the area (1000) acres, whether concluded with a single tenant or group of partners from the peasants, and Mazad from the area of the (thousand acres) taught by the Department of Agriculture each case individually.

2- approving the recommendation of the Committee on Energy Affairs Mayati:

1/ hauling drilling (10) ten wells in the area Apogrb custody Company (Bohai) Chinese total cost of (78.1262 million) dollars, only Seventy-eight million, one hundred and twenty-six thousand, two hundred dollars and the period of completion-running (12) twelve months.

2/ hauling drilling (11) eleven wells in loose change and Bazerkan custody Company (Kul) Chinese total cost of (94980621) dollars, only ninety-four million nine hundred and eighty thousand six hundred and twenty-one dollars and the period of completion-running ten (10) months.

3- continue regardless food allowance to employees of the armed forces and the security forces of those who can not attend to work for diagnosed during operations or who are absent for an excuse always in their units.

4- approving the recommendation of the Committee on Energy on the entry into force of the Memorandum of Understanding signed in Amman on 06.03.2014 between Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources in the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Ministry of Oil of the Republic of Iraq, with an amendment to paragraph (2) Article II of the Memorandum of Understanding above to become as follows: (supply Jordan and Egypt, including natural gas available from the Iraqi surplus for export).

5- Approval Mayati:

1/ authorize the Minister of Finance, Mr. Agency (Safa al-Din Muhammad Net) to negotiate and sign the draft conventions below:

A draft agreement couples avoid taxation and prevention of tax evasion on income and capital between the Government of the Republic of Iraq and the Government of the Republic of Georgia, as amended by the State Council, according to the provisions of Article (80 / item VI) of the Constitution.

A draft agreement to avoid double taxation and to prevent evasion of taxes on income and capital between the Government of the Republic of Iraq and the Government of the Republic of the Philippines, as amended by the State Council, according to the provisions of Article (80 / item VI) of the Constitution.

2/ The Ministry of Foreign Affairs to prepare the documents necessary authorization on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Iraq, Mr. Minister of Finance Agency, in accordance with the approved contexts, and raising them to the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers in order to obtain the signature of the President of the Council of Ministers.

6- Approval Mayati:

1/ authorize the Minister of Transport (Mr. Hadi Farhan Abdullah al-Amiri) the authority to negotiate and sign a draft air transport agreement between the Government of the Republic of Iraq and the Government of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, as amended by the State Council, according to the provisions of Article (80 / item VI) of the Constitution.

2/ the Foreign Ministry to prepare a document on behalf of the Government of the necessary authorization of the Republic of Iraq, Mr. Minister of Transport and in accordance with the approved contexts, and submitted to the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers in order to obtain the signature of the President of the Council of Ministers.

7- Approval Mayati:

1/ authorize the Minister of Commerce Mr. (Khairallah Babiker Mohammed) to negotiate and sign a draft agreement on Economic and Technical Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Iraq and the Government of the Republic of the Comoros, as amended by the State Council, according to the provisions of Article (80 / item VI) of the Constitution.

2/ the Foreign Ministry to prepare a document on behalf of the Government of the necessary authorization of the Republic of Iraq, Mr. Minister of Trade and contexts according to the approved, and submitted to the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers in order to obtain the signature of the President of the Council of Ministers.
