The outlawed Baath Party in Iraq reveals dialogue with the US and welcomes others

The leader of the banned Baath Party in Iraq, Salah al-Mukhtar, welcomed his party to engage in dialogue with the United States of America, but with preconditions.
"The agreement between the Baath and the United States is complicated and difficult, although it is not unlikely.
He added: "The Baath Party welcomes any future dialogue with America to be within the framework of recognition of the sovereignty and interests of Iraq and the rights of its people irrevocable."
"We may see America, the more intense it is with China and Russia, the more it tends to come to terms with the Baath, because since 2014 it is convinced that any solution to the Iraqi crises without Baathist participation is impossible to achieve," he said.
