Shafaq News/ The Supreme Leader of Iran, Ali Khamenei, confirmed to the Iraqi Prime Minister, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, that the Iranian Vice President, who is in charge of managing the country’s affairs, Muhammad Mukhber, will continue the process of cooperation with the Iraqi government.
This came during his reception of the Sudanese who arrived in Tehran to participate in the funeral ceremony of President Ibrahim Raisi and his companions, according to Iranian media.
Khamenei said, "We have lost a distinguished personality. Mr. President was a very good brother and a competent, loyal and serious official."
He added, "According to the constitution, Muhammad Mukhber has a great responsibility, and he will continue the process of cooperation with the Iraqi government."
For his part, Al-Sudani said, "Iraq saw nothing but honesty, sincerity, purity, work, and service from the late Iranian president."
He also said, "The image of the crowds that we saw on television today is a clear message indicating the depth and strength of the relationship between the people and officials in the Islamic Republic, despite all the pressures and sanctions."
He added, "The other message of the presence of millions of people at the funeral ceremony is that we must serve this people and this wonderful funeral is the result of this service and this lesson must be our main topic in Iraq."
