The MP for the coalition "Sairon" Abbas Aliwi: "The [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/133140/%D8%AA%D8%B9%D8%AF%D9%8A%D9%84%D8%A7%D8%AA %D9%82%D8%A7%D9%86%D9%88%D9%86 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A7%D9%86%D8%AA%D8%AE%D8%A7%D8%A8%D8%A7%D8%AA]amendments to the election law[/url] sent by the Prime Minister did not exceed 50% of the old law," while demanding the participation of representatives of demonstrations and independent political figures in the amendment of the election law with the committees of parliament.
Aliwi said in a press statement: "The Presidency made some amendments to the election law and sent to the Council of Ministers for review and amendment of some paragraphs, but the amendments were not comprehensive," pointing out: "The law that arrived in the House of Representatives from the Prime Minister did not exceed its amendments 50% of the previous law. "
He added: "The law should be amended according to the demands of the demonstrators by amending the proportion of St. Lego and giving greater freedom to political figures to participate."
