Legal: The President of the Republic is entitled to appoint a candidate without referring to the largest bloc

Legal expert, Ali Al-Tamimi, said that the President of the Republic has the legal right to assign an independent candidate for prime minister without referring to the largest bloc, but he will clash with Parliament because the candidate needs the vote of a majority of political blocs.
He explained: The first and second paragraphs of Article (76) ended with the resignation of Adel Abdul Mahdi, and the third, fourth and fifth paragraphs that say that if the Prime Minister fails, the President of the Republic assigns another candidate, meaning that he is free to choose any candidate for any personality, whether independent or No, but the same article stipulated that the parliament must approve by a majority the candidate for prime minister and his ministerial program.
He continued: The solution will be a compromise that satisfies the demonstrators and satisfies the political blocs, because any candidate assigned by the President of the Republic will be rejected by the political blocs.
