A local source in Dhi Qar reported today, Tuesday, that members of the dissolved Provincial Council and former Dhi Qar governor Yahya Al-Nasiri have received a special commission for them from the Al-Jabayesh Road project, estimated to total seven billion Iraqi dinars, obtained from the company implementing the project.
The source said, to Gilgamesh Press, that "part of the local government received the commission of the project in the seventh month of last year and the special commissions of the project from the executing company after controversy and differences in the share of each member."
The source pointed out, "Council member Hassan Al-Asadi and Speaker of the Council Rahim Al-Khaqani have received an amount of one billion and 250 million dinars each, while Council member Rajah Matroud Al-Aboudi received one billion dinars, and the Chairman of the Integrity Committee, Hadiya Al-Khikani, received 250 million dinars, while The resigned governor, Adel Al-Dakhili, and the acting governor, Abazer Al-Omar, received 625 million dinars each, while Yahya Al-Nasiri received two billion dinars.
Dhi Qar Governorate has referred the Al-Jabayesh Road project, the second corridor, to the Malaysian (Bina Buri) company, at a cost of 87 billion dinars, at a distance of 85 km, and with a period of completion of three years, which started work at the beginning of July, 2019.
