    The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, stressed today, Monday, the respect for the sovereignty of states and the rejection of interference and attacks, while receiving the Turkish ambassador to Iraq, Fatih Yildiz, on the occasion of the end of his duties.
    A statement by the Presidency of the Republic stated, “The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, received, today, at the Peace Palace in Baghdad, the Turkish Ambassador to Iraq, Fatih Yildiz, on the occasion of the end of his duties, as the President commended the efforts of the ambassador during his tenure in Iraq in order to develop relations between the two countries, He wished him success in his future duties.
    He added, "During the meeting, they discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries and work to strengthen them in various fields to serve the interests of the peoples of the two friendly countries. Developments in the region were also discussed."
    The President of the Republic stressed “the importance of stabilizing the foundations of stability in the region, easing tensions, supporting the path of dialogue and convergence in discussing outstanding issues, respecting the sovereignty of states and rejecting interventions and attacks and everything that undermines confidence building and threatens peace, and the importance of joint action in order to consolidate regional and international peace and security. “.
