PARLIAMENTARY DEFENSE REVEALS THE TRUTH ABOUT THE AGREEMENT TO INCREASE NATO FORCES IN IRAQ

    Sunday, April 18, 2021 9:13 PM

Today, Sunday, the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee revealed the fact that the Iraqi government has agreed with NATO, to increase the number of the latter's forces in the country.
A member of the committee, Badr Al-Ziyadi, said in an exclusive interview with the "National News Center", that "Iraq is only committed to the strategic agreement with the United States of America, and yesterday, a technical committee was formed to start the issue of the withdrawal of foreign forces and the receipt of their equipment, machinery and weapons to the Iraqi army."
Al-Ziyadi stressed that "there is no agreement or request from the Iraqi government to increase NATO forces, and what has been talked about is unilateral, that is, from NATO."
He pointed out, "The Iraqi government says that it has not submitted any request to increase NATO forces, and there is no statement in this regard."
