{Local: Al Furat News} The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers at the Federal Court has challenged some of the "additions" that were made by the House of Representatives to the articles of the Federal Budget Law 2021.
The appeal was claiming that these articles place a restriction and a burden on the executive authority by increasing expenditures and increasing the deficit, indicating that more than 10 articles in the budget law will be challenged by the government before the Federal Court, which raised questions as to whether these appeals will affect the passage of the budget and its implementation.
Member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, Hussein Al-Oqabi, stated, in a press statement, that "the appeal by the executive government does not stop the implementation of the budget at all, and that the most important point is the behavior of the executive authority in the contested means, and this is either He has to inform the administration that the issues that are legally challenged have stopped the implementation and they are slow to implement them until the court's decision is issued, or the cabinet requests the court to issue a state order to stop work on it until the decision is issued.
