The head of the Investment Authority, Suha Al-Najjar, denied converting agricultural lands surrounding Baghdad International Airport into a residential project, stressing that it is just a media whirlwind and electoral tricks.
She accused Al-Najjar, in a statement by some candidates for the parliamentary elections, of raising false information about the establishment of a housing project on agricultural land, with the aim of winning the votes of voters by fraud, she said.
The head of the Investment Authority indicated that there is no investment project in the agricultural areas surrounding the airport, and what one of the candidates provoked is a media whirlwind in order to win the votes of farmers and poor families, stressing that she has filed a lawsuit against those who raise rumors that threaten the security and stability of families.
