    The Information/Baghdad…
The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs announced, on Thursday, that it is studying a plan to open projects for the unemployed, funded by the ministries and the competent authorities, according to the type of activity of each.
The Director-General of the Department of Labor and Vocational Training in the Ministry, Raed Jabbar Bahed, said in a statement seen by (the information), that "the ministry is currently studying a plan that includes opening projects for the unemployed in coordination and funding from the ministries and the competent authorities according to the type of project activity, as if it was financed by the Tourism Authority if it was a restaurant, and so on." .
Bahed added, "In return, the ministry will cut the subsidies granted to the project owner as he is not unemployed," referring the reasons for developing the study to "the possibility of providing renewable job opportunities for young people within several activities, due to the safe atmosphere of the country."
Regarding what was accomplished from the ministry’s project to write the national employment policy, Bahed explained that “the ministry held an extensive meeting with the expert committee concerned with this, consisting of university professors, experts, representatives of the Federation of Trade Unions, general managers in the relevant ministries and members of the Iraqi Federation of Industries,” noting that “the meeting focused on Mechanisms for writing strategic objectives related to employment, the labor market, and the increasing unemployment under the current circumstances.
He added, "The mechanisms also include the most important points to be followed in writing this policy, which represents the comprehensive practical plan to achieve basic employment objectives such as creating job opportunities, promoting decent work and protecting workers' rights." finished/25
