    Information / Baghdad.
Former MP Abbas Yaber described, on Thursday, extending an oil pipeline from Basra to Aqaba as a major crime against the Iraqi people.
Yaber said in a statement to "Al-Maalouma", that "the insistence on Basra oil raises big question marks," noting that "Iraq today is in dire need of establishing refineries in all governorates to benefit from oil and gas extraction."
He added, "The insistence of the outgoing Al-Kazemi government on the project to extend the Basra oil pipeline - an obstacle is a major crime," noting that "despite the presence of oil fields such as Kirkuk and Salah al-Din fields close to Jordan."
A member of the Political Bureau of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq movement, Ahmed Abdel Hussein, had warned earlier, against the government move to extend the Aqaba pipeline leading to the Zionist entity, pointing out that Al-Kazemi’s government committed what the previous regime did not commit. finished/25 h
