The former Speaker of Parliament Salim al-Jubouri confirmed, on Thursday, that the UAE controls the political scene in Iraq instead of the military occupation.
Al-Jubouri said in a televised interview, which was followed by "The Information", that "Turkey's area has increased widely in interfering with the Iraqi political process, and that the Turkish intelligence director is the one who runs the Sunni political movement."
He added, "The UAE controls Sunni political parties as well as enjoys exceptional relations with Shiite and Kurdish forces and is working to control the political reality instead of occupying Iraq," noting that "the Turkish intelligence chief is the supervisor of the Sunni forces alliance and has the most prominent role in the Sunni political scene."
Al-Jubouri indicated that “the Sunni forces, through the recent alliances and the weighting of the forces in the Sadrist movement at the expense of the framework, the whole process is a gamble and a great loss will be recorded in the event of a change in the position of the Shiite forces.” End / 25
