    Economy News - Baghdad
[rtl]The spokesman for the Ministry of Electricity, Ahmed Moussa, revealed the sites that the ministry will use to generate energy from waste, while he indicated that these two sites will be in Abu Ghraib and Nahrawan, southeast of the capital.[/rtl]
[rtl]Musa said, "The ministry signed memoranda of understanding with the Baghdad Investment Commission to exploit two sites in Abu Ghraib and Nahrawan to produce energy from waste, which represents a new vital and strategic project in the energy sector." [/rtl]
[rtl]He explained that "the ministry is keen for these sites to be close to the network and transmission lines, and we have signed minutes with the Investment Authority and the Baghdad Municipality to select the two sites and use the waste to generate electrical energy, one in Abu Ghraib and the other in Nahrawan, to obtain an investment opportunity to establish electrical stations through recycling waste."[/rtl]
[rtl]Musa added: “We have studies that have almost been completed regarding the referral of installing engines in the Al-Shahabi area in Wasit Governorate to produce energy using wind, and we are close to contracting with companies specialized in this field.”[/rtl]
