BlackRock Inc.’s spot bitcoin exchange-traded fund has overtaken the company’s gold fund, amid record demand for ETFs that invest in the native cryptocurrency.
The iShares Bitcoin Trust has surpassed the $33 billion iShares Gold Trust’s total assets to $34.3 billion after a record $1.1 billion inflow on Thursday, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
This represents a remarkable achievement for the iShares Bitcoin Trust, which has received over $27 billion in inflows from investors since its launch in January, making it the fourth-best performing fund globally in terms of inflows this year.
