    The General Secretariat of the League of Arab States concluded the meeting of the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Information Ministers, which was held in Baghdad in the presence of representatives of Arab countries, unions and organizations to vote on the recommendations of the Permanent Committee of Arab Media.
    The head of the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Information Ministers, Mujahid Abu Al-Hail, congratulated the success of holding the meetings of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in the capital, Baghdad, to discuss a number of important and sensitive topics related to the media sector in the Arab world, and witnessed interaction by the countries participating in the events that they hope to continue through initiatives and meetings. Others are being coordinated in cooperation with the League to focus on important and vital issues in our Arab countries.
    The head of the Executive Authority of the Media and Communications Commission, Ali Al-Moayad, said during his speech that (these Arab events come in line with the vision and policy of the Iraqi state in openness and interaction with common Arab and regional issues and concerns, adding that Iraq was keen to adhere to the outcomes and items of previous meetings in the regular sessions of the League of Arab States. In the media and communication sector, foremost of which is the Palestinian cause, the Arab media strategy, addressing the phenomenon of terrorism, combating hate speech and extremism, as well as supporting Arab excellence and innovation, as well as education, culture and health, and not ending with the media map for sustainable development).
    For his part, the Assistant Secretary-General / Head of the Media and Communication Sector at the University, Ahmed Rashid Khattabi, spoke about the importance of holding these meetings and discussing a number of important issues on the agenda of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, adding, “We salute all the efforts that contributed to the success of these Arab events.” .
    The Chairman of the Permanent Committee for Arab Media, Nabil Jassem, also spoke about the most important recommendations prepared by the committee during its previous meeting, in which it focused on many important axes and in relation to the media sector, such as the strategic plan for Arab media, the Palestinian cause, the Creativity Award and many other recommendations.
    The office concluded its meeting after voting on the recommendations submitted to it by the Permanent Committee of Arab Media and taking the proposals of the Arab countries on them, as well as discussing the mechanisms of its maturation in a way that suits the need for it to be implemented in a practical way.
