The Ministry of Electricity of the Region increases the share of energy for a Kurdistan region with a hot climate
Shafaq News/ The Ministry of Electricity of Kurdistan Regional Government announced today an increase in the electricity share of the Garmian Independent Administration due to the hot climate that the region enjoys during the summer.
In a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, the ministry said, "As for the electricity share in Garmian, taking into account the high temperatures in the region, its share has been increased from 4.1% to 4.7%."
The statement added that the ministry took into account all circumstances, including the difference in temperature and any other conditions.
The Minister of Electricity in the region, Kamal Muhammad Salih, had announced in early June that in the summer, the demand for energy reaches 4500 megawatts.
The Minister of Electricity had said in previous press statements that his ministry could produce about 7000 megawatts of electricity if fuel was available.
