The Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Rostam Qasemi, announced that 5 million visitors are expected to travel to Iraq on the occasion of the Arbaeen by land, rail and air transport this year .
Today, Saturday, Qassemi said at a ceremony honoring workers in transporting and returning pilgrims: In a short period, about 40 thousand pilgrims were transported on board the planes of Iran Air under the conditions of the ban .
The Iranian Minister of Roads added: This year it is expected that 5 million visitors will be transported to Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) to participate in the Arbaeen ceremonies via land, trains and air transport, and we must prepare for this purpose .
He continued, "It is expected that 60,000 visitors will travel by train, 50,000 to 60,000 by plane, and the rest by land transport . "
Qassemi added: In this context, the roads leading to the country's borders have been expanded and improved, and transport stations are being prepared to receive and transport visitors due to the summer heat.
