    The coordination meeting between the Republic of Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran was held at the headquarters of the Media and Communications Commission to discuss details of the media and communications sectors during the fortieth visit of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
    The meeting, which was attended by specialized staff from the Iraqi Media and Communications Commission and the Iranian Communications Regulatory Commission, in the presence of representatives of the telecommunications companies in the two countries, during which it was agreed on all issues related to technical matters and raising the level of preparedness in an exceptional manner commensurate with the millions arriving to the holy Karbala and the rest of the provinces during the fortieth visit .
    The meeting dealt with the development of mechanisms to ensure the entry of technical equipment belonging to Iranian media institutions and journalists, as well as the regulation of aspects of international roaming in the telecommunications sector, and follow-up of service quality by the competent authority's teams.
    It was also agreed on the importance of opening up prospects for future cooperation between the two sides in the fields of communications and information technology in line with the development taking place in all countries of the world in order to exchange experiences between the two countries, as well as emphasizing the importance of launching development programs for specialized staff in the coming days.
    It is noteworthy that the Media and Communications Authority has mobilized its efforts to monitor the quality of services provided by mobile phone companies to citizens, and work at a high pace to facilitate the tasks of local media and grant entry visas to foreign journalists who want to cover the millionth visit.
