Baghdad/The Obelisk: The head of the Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, said Thursday, 09/15/2022, that attendance in the political scene does not necessarily mean participation in the government, but rather through the political decision and the maturation of a unified vision for managing the country.
In a statement received by Al-Masala, the media office stated that Al-Hakim received Eric Chovali, the ambassador of the Republic of France in Baghdad, indicating that during the meeting, the political scene and its developments and current events in Iraq were discussed, as well as bilateral relations between Iraq and France and ways to develop them to serve the two friendly countries and peoples.

According to the statement, Al-Hakim stressed the importance of including everyone in the political scene, stressing the need for everyone to attend, as no party can block another place, noting that attendance in the political scene does not necessarily mean participation in the government, but rather through the political decision and the maturation of a unified vision for managing the country.

He called for resorting to the constitution and the law, explaining that reform requires the adoption and activation of institutions and the customary contexts, as the current system has established mechanisms for its reform and development, and this must be taken into consideration.

On the bilateral relations between the two countries, he stressed that France is an important country for Iraq due to its position and influence as one of the permanent members of the Security Council, and that cooperation must be maintained and strengthened in order to achieve the interests of the two friendly countries and peoples and preserve the sovereignty of Iraq.
