Al-Hakim said, according to a statement by his office, received by Mawazine News, "During our meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of France in Baghdad, Eric Chevali, we discussed the political scene, its developments and current events in Iraq, as well as the bilateral relations between Iraq and France and ways to develop them to serve the two countries and peoples."
Al-Hakim stressed, "the importance of inclusion in the political scene," noting "the necessity of everyone's presence, as no party can block another place," while noting that "presence in the political scene does not necessarily mean participation in the government, but rather through the political decision and the maturation of a unified vision for managing the country." ".
Al-Hakim called for "restraining to the constitution and the law," saying that "reform requires the adoption and activation of institutions and the customary contexts, as the current system has established mechanisms for its reform and development, and this must be taken into consideration."
Regarding the relations between Baghdad and Paris, Al-Hakim stated that "France is an important country for Iraq due to its position and influence as one of the permanent members of the Security Council, and cooperation must be maintained and strengthened to achieve the interests of the two countries and peoples and preserve the sovereignty of Iraq."
